Mystic Marijuana: New Moon in Gemini

Usually when we think of a genius, we think of a person who has made a phenomenal, long-lasting contribution to some socially-valued domain. They’re either a great artist, scientist, political leader, someone with a high IQ, or have an exceptional performance at young age. Some people rarely sympathize with geniuses, assuming it is easy for them to create, and that ideas just appear in their minds easily. I believe it is hard for a genius because they can’t live “normal” lives, seeing the world differently than others. If you’re working with many fields perhaps with little ‘formal’ training , slaying without explanation, are flexible—open to newness, taking risks, promoting vanity along the way—than you’re a genius.

The multifaceted Gemini, invokes the genius within. Months ahead we’re diligently asking the right questions at the right time, distancing ourselves from complacency. Our Mother Moon drops several feats on us, for us to call on our greatness. Focus your attention on an assortment of devotions these next weeks. Our mood for the New Moon in Gemini is, “Do shit better than they’ve been done before.” The genius never feels small, always rising above meekness. Not all will innovate by tomorrow, but the trees also don’t grow up to the clouds. Just like the sky that gives the trees space, the genius creates space for the impossibilities in our lives. Those impossibilities coming true are miracles. Be the genius, be the miracle this universe needs.

Exhale, the recipe for excellence

Mystic Marijuana: New Moon Solar Eclipse in Leo

If you haven’t tasted a year’s worth of honey, a bottle of natural nectar collected from late winter-early spring is lighter in color and less complex in flavor, than a summer’s thick, sticky golden harvest. It’s easy for bees to stay active in hotter temperatures, therefore honey in the summer tends to be even more delicious, since they work twice as hard. Similar to how everyone else spends their length of solstice, theres an increase in movement and pleasure for all beings.

The sun is designed for our spiritual growth, and causes us to experience a great deal of expansiveness. Irritation from the bloody heat can distract us and the sun’s rays of light can pull us in so many places emotionally. We are so dictated by the sun, keeping us awake and losing sleep, causing us to feel deprived of moon substance. A major point that we shouldn’t miss is that life opens up during the summer, to offer new directions. We can become something bigger than our own individual life, because there’s  plenty to do/see/explore on brighter days!

When it’s cold we don’t feel as free, similar to bees who have to travel to get what they need. Bees huddle close together during hibernation, creating a nest full of vibration to keep wisdom warm. Our sun streamlines mass pollination for bees alongside exceeding interactions amongst be-ings, raising our bar of confidence to bring ourselves and our aspirations forward in the world. Real honey is like our pot of purpose, its going to be an extra climb to have it, but it’ll always be fortifying, a sweetness that truly never spoils!

Today’s new moon in Leo shares this notion that we can easily bruise from the sun as much as the sun fills us with joy. Meaning, everything negative and positive will continue to grow evenly. The sun cannot pick what to weed out. It is up to the protectors of the earth to decide what flourishes. Notice how bees manage, direct, and invest their energy to what matters most to them. Bees search for multiple flowers of knowledge to assist earth and earthly beings with seasonal lessons, one fragile bloom at a time. So we must follow that same buzz.

What the bees, sun, and flowers all have in common is they all carry a high frequency. Higher frequencies are tools to our ascenscion. This solar eclipse, new moon in Leo is helping us move up. The sun’s DNA transmits high vibrational downloads for higher awakening; many of us could run into trauma and/or pain because receiving high frequency energies purges that which is of a lower frequency. Also, my own divine theory is that since western minds usually personify the sun as male, maybe bees are the sun’s female counterparts, responsible for earth’s exuberance, relying on its fragrance and spectrum of flowers. The aroma of flowers help bees pollinate, producing tons of food we eat that also have high frequency energies. It is no wonder bees are attracted to flowers of high frequency, because flowers soak up the vibration of the sun and are also stuck in earth absorbing its vibration too. Bees know exactly what they need to move forward, in terms of spiritual growth.

We can do the same action as bees, especially with the benefits of essential oils, inhaling the flower/plant’s high frequencies.

To enhance our successful journey the way sun amplifies our truth and opens doors, we teamed up with a local, WOC-owned company, Karmic Baths to blend an annointing oil, for you to acquire wealth and promote self-love. "The Gold Pathway," has frankincense, myrrh, palmarosa, sweet orange, calendula flowers in a sunflower oil base. You can rub it on your heart, the veiny areas of your wrist, or on your fingertips! When it comes to the workings of the universe, having a wobbly week surrounding the new or full moon is less geared towards self-correcting. Gemini season started off like one of those spin top toys, strongly whirling about until producing whatever thud it would eventually make. The physics understood about this pointy kinetic invention, is that it stays upright when it rotates, a resemblance of the energy pertaining to this full moon.

This doesn’t mean we have to work on our mind-body momentum and train to be ballerinas *exits stage left with a pirouette*. Rather, it tells us that our hyperactivity of emotions and priorities comes from the union of different sides of our mind.

The moon opposes the sun during this period of spiritual culmination. According to charts, the moon is full in Sagittarius and the sun is in Gemini. Usually signs that are characterized as Gemini represents knowledge and those of Sagittarius represent wisdom. The human mind likes to judge and qualify certain situations, to put one ahead of the other. Knowledge is the information needed to navigate this earth plane. Wisdom is the information to transcend this plane. Both are necessary.

We have bodies, but we cannot attach our lives with our bodies. Living in a world of materialism can cloud us to forget the elements of knowledge and wisdom to our relationship with recovery and resurrection. Although, our spirits can “live” without our bodies, at the same time we have to accept the fact that we are here. This full moon during Gemini season, teaches us to not try to focus on one aspect in the exclusion of the other.

Your assessment will differ depending on your own specific sign. Generally, secrets will be revealed since Sagittarians are known for wanting to be connected to the truth (and also exposing lies). Our insights stem from yearning to break free from uncomfortable confrontation or to take an unconventional turn. For instance, we often cannot afford to slow or stop our goals just because the sun decided to set. Therefore, we could easily get burnt out.

However, maybe creative endeavors give you a natural high. If so, then the fear of losing daylight disappears and we can embrace working in the night, for that altered state provides intellectual conviction. The science of success is a no brainer: when you have it, you want more of it. But the power of knowledge is not more important than wisdom. Our conscious efforts to stay busy can put us in an emotional gridlock of unmet needs and/or unprocessed feelings. Getting our hustle on can bring disturbing repercussions. Also mindless mornings, when having less motivation has dense obstructions too. Don’t let uneven polarities be an indication of toil and suffering. These instances are a perfect time to converge the innate capacities of the nervous system. Our many beliefs and differences within influence all functions of the body. Our knowledge and wisdom link up to exchange ideas about our health and how to share that duality with the world.

Our continuity of dual consciousness provides a sense of oneness. So, I wrote a koan to help me attain several levels of awakening:

Yin is torn from Yang.

 The Sun divorces the Moon

Warmth provides stillness yet
Cold sticks to you.

Adam loses Eve.

Sleep heals and Dreams sometimes hurt.

Holding on weakens your grip, and
Letting go bring uninvited returns.

A koan is meant to be confusing and we teeter through unusual things during full moons. Koans work to tear away all forms of discrimination in the mind and make way for enlightenment. A sudden enigma, a hidden meaning through inadequacy of expression or withholding full knowledge. Here are some of my fave koans I read over and meditate on:

“If you love a flower, don’t pick it up. Because if you pick it up it dies and it ceases to be what you love. So if you Love a flower, let it be. Love is not about possession. Love is about appreciation.” - OSHO

“You know the sound of two hands clapping; tell me, what is the sound of one hand?”- Haikun Ekaku.

Mystic Marijuana: New Moon in Pisces

Pisces And The Importance of Prayer

Prayers are your greatest weapon, without them you’re left unaided. Not only does prayer help defeat our enemies, but it is also a force that sets our power in motion. We meditate on words and send our requests out and upward because we care for creation that provides life. It is in our very nature to first give thanks before nature grants us consolation, and creation continues to exist without us necessarily feeling it. Our prayers seek the meaning of visions when we cannot physically fight illusions. Similarly, earth destroys the work of evil through mysterious forces. So earth does not live for us alone, but for itself, just like humankind.

The enlightenment achieved through prayer is what propels us into activity, like what air is to birds and water is to fish, our prayers urge our souls away from lethargy to be renewed again. Whenever our consciousness makes real progress, our whole world changes too. Just like how the hardness of a crystal may be partly useful, its true value lies within light that shines through.

It is the rigidness of reality that formulates our prayer. Our individual prayers build an inner fortress when we feel threatened. Much suffering that accompanies life stems from relying on others to show you the steps, and forgetting we navigate with one body—a body of knowledge. That's why it is called an intention because its realized inside of you, a whole galaxy away from this world. Sensible advice is completely counter productive—advice that urges you to not work so hard, to ignore pettiness, to eat healthy, etc. doesn’t actually help, or at best it rarely does. We find relief when we find out what purpose our prayer secretly holds, or wants from us. Introspections usually follow after prayer because the stream of life causes friction or disturbance outside of ourselves. The thing that can drive away evil is always hard and unique to find, which is why we feel we are endlessly searching during our prayers.

We often go through the process of healing because there is or has been a negative impact on us. It’s best to not feel guilty about the course of action. There are simply times when you must step away. Of course, some of these negative results may be experienced due to our own selves, as we all have insecurities, fragilities, and vulnerabilities. Minimize the connection with the situation or person that is causing you harm, therefore you can develop enough self-love and enough strength to expose yourself again through prayer. Your prayer can be simple as “dear higher self, the problems that torment me I place in your blessed hands.” Bringing about such an entanglement within the unconscious forces you to develop and bring your own being to maturity by integrating more of your personal communication with faith, hence bringing it into real life.

During the new moon in Pisces (endings) as it transitions to Aries (beginnings), put an end to your pain and write a prayer to implore the continuation of healing. Try writing it down which can stimulate the memory, then pierce it with a knife into the ground to represent lightening of energy to activate it. In a sense, we are the symbol of Pisces, a fish that swam the incredible journey to grow into a human. Still on the odyssey of our unconsciousness, tied with prayer (reflections) our greatest mirror, also seen in water, the element of Pisces. We must brood over the bloody rivers to give birth to ourselves, for we are the answers our ancestors prayed for. And prayers in general are the precursor of the human potential for higher wisdom.
